Wuthering Heights (2009) short review

1

I enjoyed this more than the 1992 version – but I still don’t want to read the book! Tom Hardy was good at being tortured as Heathcliff, I didn’t want to hit Charlotte Riley as Cathy too often, and I thought the portrayal of Isabella was quite touching. Nice costumes, nothing terribly exciting… although I am biased, as I find Regency somewhat uninspiring.

I felt the same as you, Kendra. Loved Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley. The passion came across as well as it could for two star crossed lovers who are basically nutters.
