Summer Repeat: Dancing on the Edge (2013)

The Frock Flicks team is taking a little time off for a summer break, so we’re repeating some favorite posts from the archives.

This BBC miniseries focuses on a friendship between a white journalist and a Black band leader in 1930s London, and the story extends to their group of friends and admirers. All of whom are dressed in exquisite ’30s fashions designed by Lindsay Pugh.

I have to finish this one. Earlier this year, I made through half of the episodes. It was a very good-looking production and most of the men…….fans self. I mean Matthew Goode, Chewitel Ejiofor, Tom Hughes, and Anthony Stewart Head would look good in a burlap sack… but all tatted out in excellent clothes…forget about it!!!!! (Oh, and the women looked good too.)
