  1. Dead Still was alright plot wise, I agree the episodes are too long. But I thought the costumes were pretty meh.

  2. I haven’t seen it and probably won’t because it sounds tediously long winded with no redeemable clothes, eye candy and puppies.

  3. I made it through the whole series. I’m not sure how I did it. Sheer stubbornness? I didn’t hate it, I didn’t love it. If I can afford to get Acorn again I might watch further seasons. I do kinda want to know what happens next.

  4. My mom enjoys pretty much any Acorn Mystery drama so i watched this with her and at this point if we’re watching anything period she and my sister look over at me as if to ask “Is that right” when questionable costumes pop up. That blue party dress damn near killed me. WHY IS IT GAPPING LIKE THAT?! WHY IS THE BODICE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SHADE OF BLUE FROM THE SKIRT? WHY WHY WHY??????

  5. Thank you for that 1880 bit–I had NO idea what era it was supposed to be other than somewhere in the last quarter of the 19th century. I was incredibly disappointed with Nancy as a character, but I found myself surprised liking characters like her brother, who actually has some interesting development (even though it’s cut short, literally). I didn’t really get any of her costumes, either, though the blue is nice and she wears this awesome hooded coat in episode 1 that never makes another appearance that I would totally wear the shit out of if it wasn’t brown. I think I like more what I see on side characters.

I did really enjoy Dead Still other than that, even with the weird pacing. I felt like since it’s semi-comedy it needs a bit of lightening up before the end of each episode.
