  1. I’m quite curious what the Medieval Latvian film was? The one you wanted an external review. I try to make it a point to watch just about every Medieval film out there (and man have I watched some obscure-ass ones). I’d like to add this to my list.

    1. I think it was The Pagan King, IIRC. The costumes weren’t terrible and, according to my boyfriend who knows way more about the this period than I could ever hope to, it stayed pretty faithful to the history.

  2. Wow, you guys have to put up with a lot of nonsense! Here to say I love what you do, am learning so much and it’s amazing how much content you provide by and large for free!

FYI, I guess the mystery F word was ‘fucktard’.

  3. These are epic exchanges. I truly appreciate the three of you. This reading of this website is a part of my daily routine. Will never understand people who continue to comment when they clearly do not like what you post. They can simply not visit if it upsets them that much. Billions of other places to explore on the ‘net that will suit them.

    Keep on, keeping on!

  4. May you enjoy a pitcher of pink drink to celebrate the end of another Snark Week. Thanks for sharing your efforts with us.

  5. I feel like there’s a big overlap between commentators who are like “FF is stupid and biased and knows nothing about this beloved treasure of a film” and irrational hostility against academia and academic research in general. It’s like when people’s feelings run up against empirical evidence, their entire identity is threatened and they just go batshit crazy.

    1. One of our awesome readers made this for us:

Though, I did point out that “I may need another drink” is also applicable to our side of the diagram, too.

      1. Ha ha awesome. “I may need another drink” is applicable to many (most?) situations, actually.

        1. Thank you, Ladies, for an exceptionally enjoyable Snark Week! I loved every single post! So many hilarious moments, and I agree with you on everything!

  6. Lots of nonsense you put up with. Don’t like, don’t read, people–it’s that simple.

But what caught my eye was the comment about searching the site during quizzes. Are you saying they’re open book? ;-) I guess I treated looking things up like cheating, as if these were graded, ha!

  7. I dunno. I thought Stephen Dillane as Thomas Jefferson was pretty damn hot in John Adams. My friends and I watched the first episode of that when it came out and went “meh” and by the end of episode 2, we had a Jefferson fan club going on. Him and his fabulous outfits. xD

  8. I’ve been immortalized in a Behind the Scenes post. Mama, I’ve made it and I’m coming home!
