SNARK WEEK: Bad Costume Bingo

Support Frock Flicks with a small donation! During Snark Week and beyond, we’re grateful for your small, one-time contributions via PayPal or monthly pledges via Patreon to offset the costs of running this site. You can even buy our T-shirts and swag. Think of this like supporting public broadcasting, but you get more swearing and no tax deductions!

Bad Costume Bingo You know the feeling. You’re watching the latest historical costume movie or another historical series on Netflix or Amazon, and suddenly, you’re jarred out of the supposed historical period by metal grommets. Or a face-eating wig. Or poly baroque satin. Or just shit that don’t fit. Obviously, that’s why Frock Flicks is here. But sometimes, you just want to count up all the horrible crap yourself. Because, love it though we do, Snark Week only comes around once a year.

That’s why we’re giving you the gift of snark to enjoy 365 days a year, at home, at parties, with friends and family, online and off. That’s right, now everyone can play Bad Costume Bingo! Nothing special, it’s like the usual way you play B-I-N-G-O and enjoy the game. Now, it’s like having the Frock Flicks team right by your side as you watch that movie, except we won’t drink all your booze.

Just download one of these PDF bing cards and print out as many copies as you like. Then, while you watch the next crappy historical costume TV series on the CW or Starz, see if you can check off five squares in a row. Remember, the center square is free because, let’s face it, there’s a lot of shit that doesn’t fit out there.

This is so hilarious. But I’m going to play it watching Victoria Sunday.
But I also have another box or two:

This is set in Elizabethan England not 16th century Spain.

What about a Snark Frock Monopoly?

Yes! I second that! A snark Frock Monopoly would be AWESOME!
      I have one for it:
“You said your movie/TV show was 100% historically accurate…
Go to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200$”

“Beachy Waves” or “Put Your Damn Hair Up” could be categories. Also, “Inappropriate Beards/Moustaches/Goatees” and “Ubiquitously Puke-Colored Peasants”.

I was assuming unfortunate biggins covered just headwear, whereas puke-colored peasants covered everything else…But unfortunate biggins does convey an overall sense of frump, now that I think about it.

    • Lady Hermina De Pagan

Puke colored peasants?! Oh we call that Burlap Syndrome here in NY.
