MCM: Colin Firth

1

Man Candy Monday takes a throwback twist because this week is the anniversary of the ultimate Mr. Darcy moment. Yep, the best-ever Pride and Prejudice adaption premiered back in 1995, shooting Colin Firth to stardom and making ‘go jump in a lake’ not so much a threat as a promise.

We’re sure Mr. Firth has done things since then (like winning a Best Actor Oscar for The King’s Speech), but he’ll always be our Mr. Darcy.

1995 Pride & Prejudice

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good cravat, must be pretty hawt.

I never understood why he swam in the murky, manky, muddy, lily-pond instead of the deep, clear lake. Nor how his clothes werent manky, muddy and rather smelly after. He really should have removed his shirt altogether. And his trews. Gentlemen swam nude.
