  1. Fantastic interview! Entertaining and very enlightening. Loved the behind- the -scenes insight into costuming! Well done.

  2. I had started watching this Belgian Costume/History drama series on Netflix. But now will probably start at the beginning again and continue watching it. With renewed interest & insight, after reading this in-depth interview. Really cool you were able to give us all, a peek behind the production “curtain”, by way of this firsthand interview. Thank you so much.

  3. What a great interview–thanks so much to you and Raissa for doing it. I love learning about her process and all the care she put into it, and the other folks who did, too.

  4. This was a great interview. This kind of content is amazing. I look forward to see more work by this costumer!

  5. It’s very interesting to read why they have chosen the Maison du Roi uniforms although the Gardes Francaises just didn’t made any sense at all in the whole story. (Is there the king anywhere? No. Why should the Gardes Francaises elite regiment be the garrison of a town like this? OK, it was only a question of a taste and the choice of Gardes Francaises was at least better then the almost Austrian looking “French” uniforms in “Maria Theresia”). All this about the beards is nonsense. We see large moustaches on Austrian grenadiers on the Morier-paintings – but these are GRENADIERS and it makes no sense to give fusiliers the beards of grenadiers. If you look on period paintings you will notice that fusiliers maybe had beards sometimes but never those extreme beards like on Morier’s paintings… It’s exciting to read that the whole police-story is fantasy and therefor I did too much research which never had a chance to succeed.

Great and helpfull interview for a better understanding of the costumes in this somehow strange production.
