In Production: Costume Movies & TV Series

Wondering what historical costume movies (and TV series) are in production? What is Colleen Atwood up to? What historical story will Nicole Kidman grimace through next?

We’ll be adding information about these to our Upcoming Frock Flicks page! This is where you can get a glimpse of what’s coming up, including who is designing the costumes, and ever-changing release dates.

Right now, there are productions listed through 2016, and they include…

  • Wolf Hall, the adaptation of the highly praised Hilary Mantel book about Thomas Cromwell;
  • Far From the Madding Crowd, a Thomas Hardy adaptation starring Carey Mulligan;
  • Miss Julie, based on the August Strindberg play and starring Jessica Chastain.

Plus Nicole Kidman as a desert explorer, Holliday Grainger in 17th c. Holland, and (I kid you not) a Tarzan sequel.
