  1. Crimson Peak, Penny Dreadful, Crimson Petal and The White. Those are my favourites, but both Mrs Brown and Victoria and Abdul run a close second.
When you get to the 20th are you going to mention Rocky Horror Picture Show?

  2. Jenna Coleman’s dress is pretty, but that satin would show way too many wrinkles for my liking. I’ll go with the smocked “My Cousin Rachel” dress.

On a related note, I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s mourning clothes exhibit. My main reaction was “why are so many outfits golden brown… Oh right, fading dye.”

  3. I missed this series. Because I was in Whitby, at a goth festival. Oh, the irony :D

Isabelle Huppert’s ‘Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now’ black dress from Madame Bovary
Sophie Marceau’s black ballgown in ‘Anna Karenina’
Deborah Kerr’s black velvet crinoline in ‘The Innocents’
Nicole Kidman’s assymetrical black velvet gown in ‘Portrait of a Lady’
The black stage costume from ‘The Prestige’ (risque!)
The ‘gothic tower’ gown from Moulin Rouge.

    :D
