Back to School Repeat – Unnecessary Lacing

It’s ye olde timey fashion, so everything is laced up, right? Not so fast with that cord and grommets there! Frock flicks fail at functional lacing more often than not.

    The irony is, putting all those grommets and laces on must have added considerably to the time and labour required. Stitching things together, even by hand, would have taken less time, effort, and material.

    Forget the black man. Somebody please tell me what a lady in Italian Renaissance dress is doing in Sherwood and the Twelfth century! A Black man is perfectly possible. A 16th century or later velvet dress is not!!!
