  1. I like the costumes for this movie but everything else I couldn’t stand. How horribly inaccurate it was historically, the portrayals of Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. Catherine of Aragon was incredibly regal in her manner and pious ,plus she was fair-skinned with auburn hair and blue eyes (like her mother Isabella I of Castile). Anne Boleyn was intelligent but also tempestuous and this portrayal didn’t show how truly tempestuous she was and she was much more dignified in her execution than some blubbering mess.

  2. AMEN! I remember watching this movie, seeing Anne wearing a gabled hood after becoming queen and freaking out. I don’t care how regal and subdued she wanted to be seen as, the real Anne would NEVER have worn the gabled hood. I remeber that she was quoted as hating the hood because it”felt as if one had their head in box.” If she was not wearing a french hood it would have been a similar type head covering.
