  1. I’ve seen three versions of “THE FOUR FEATHERS”. The 1939 Alex Korda version is decent, despite the over-the-top Imperial jingoism that I found wince inducing. The 1977 version is borderline mediocre, but I found Richard Johnson’s portrayal of a Northern African . . . my God, it’s just awful. The 2002 version is my favorite. And I suspect that many hate it, due to the aura of political correctness to the tale. For me, that air of political correctness made this version even more easier to like.
