The main dress Mary wears is this sheer white cotton gown, which I really liked -- sheer cottons were hugely popular in this era, and also would be a practical thing for the absent wife to have packed ... except for the weird puffed sleeve cap, which I've never seen in the 18th century. Otherwise, I like how it's sort of styled like a chemise dress, except with a fitted bodice.
