  2. Oh mon dieu, Ridicule! It’s one of my favorite movies! Thanks to your blog, I’ve come to realize how lazy indeed it is to put all the blame on the period depicted and not on the lack of research / lack of budget. I’m woke now!

  3. That is one of the worst movies I ever saw. All those tons of stereotypes about the 18th century Society. The Basic idea of a noblemen foreign to the court is good, but all those stupid ideas like the makeup on men, the silly dialogs etc..
